AICPA Moving NJ Offices to NC
Dick: Does this qualify as the accounting version of "The Devil Went
Down to Georgia"? NO, On the seventh day God went to rest in the Promised Land of North Carolina. Choosing Durham over Chapel Hill simply means the AICPA wishs to offset the evils of that damnyankee school on Erwin Road. Dick ====== From the AICPA's News Update E-Mail: "The AICPA Governing Council today approved a proposal to relocate the AICPA's New Jersey office operations to Durham, North Carolina. With few exceptions, the New York, D.C. and Texas offices will not be impacted. The relocation will be staggered, with the first teams moving in August 2006, and completion scheduled for mid-2007. The decision to relocate was the result of an extensive financial and location analysis conducted by AICPA management, with the assistance of objective consultants. It represents a compelling financial and operational move that will provide long-term benefits to AICPA members.
