I've been running Quicken Deluxe '98 now for years, not only on Win 98, but currently on Win 2000. I have a dual boot system of both Win 2000 and Win XP. At times I've had a tri-boot system with those two operating systems and linux (Simply Mepis). I've partitioned my hard drive using Partition Magic 8, and have a C drive for the Win 2000 operationg system, two data drives D & E, and an H or G drive (depending which operating system you're in) for my Win XP operating system.
My problem is that when I go to back up to my D drive (data) which I've done countless times in the past, I get an error message that says "Your backup drive is out of space". Now, I know for a fact that I have plenty of room on that drive. I'm able to trick quicken by going to save the file to my jump drive (I) and then switch the I to a D and it works. But I can't start off by saving it to my D drive. The location to where I'm trying to save it to (and have in the past) is "D:\My Documents\Quicken 98". Sometimes when I save it just to D:\ it works, but not to the specific directories just mentioned. Pretty weird! Has anyone ever experienced this with Quicken and/or could someone give me some direction with this please? Thanks. Vin |

That's weird, have you tried to backup to a brand new directory on Drive D?

Thanks for responding to me so quickly.
Yes, it only will work if I save it to D:\, no sub-folder. Any ideas? |

Sorry, no more suggestions. This long discussion may help.
