MS Money "Mark as Cleared"

Please help answer what I believe is a simple question. I try :wink: to enter transactions into Money (2005) about once a week using entries in the checkbook and online bank statements etc. Is it proper to mark those transactions then as "cleared" or will that cause those entries to not show when I finally reconcile against the monthly bank account statement?
