foreclosure fever-its everywhere. I am ahem.. am planning to profit, am looking for a 3rd property as a summer rental in a coastal community. Something I can call home when I retire.
I went out to California which is littered with foreclosures. Its a bit creepy to drive thru entire developments, abandoned. I also saw a growing trend of Dream Home Raffles, which I find intriguing. What a great way to flip an amazing multi-million dollar property or "settle" for the cash prize. I put down $150 (seemed fair) on sfraffle.com A couple recently won in Marin County. Now I would have moved there in an instant. Well the good news is IF I don't win I will be ready to deposit in the Capitola area come September. Just waiting to see if we can get closer to the bottom of this real estate mess. Tim and Jenna |

Generally, sellers are waiting and hoping they can weather the storm. Buyers are waiting for rents to drop, sellers to throw in the towel and prices to fall even further. This is the perfect storm for the investor to grab a modest multi-unit property, quite possibly through a bank that does not want to publicly foreclose but needs to dispense with a non-performing asset.
