SHORT VERSION AT BOTTOM
*************************

I would like to setup a link between my CU and MS$ so that when I go into MS$, the information about my accounts is there in Money.

If I have to Open up a browser, log into my CU, go to my account, download a file, switch to MS$, import the file, and spend 10-20 minutes reconciling the accounts to make sure the balance in MS$ reflects the accurate balance in my account and then repeat for the other accounts I have, it doesn't seem terribly "automated" to me. I would much prefer to go through a setup that links MS$ to my accounts and downloads the information when I go into the app (heck, I'll even go so far as to "click a button" to initiate the download).

I have gone through the setup process, but it fails each time with my CU. I have checked with my CU and I guess they will not use the OFX standard to allow such automation out of security concerns. If that is the case, then why are they even listed in the financial institutions that work with MS$. In my book, the manual process described above does not constitute "working with MS$". I'm ready to switch institutions just so I can take advantage of better tracking my finances with some pf app (Quicken, MS$, I don't care). Is there a list somewhere of financial institutions that TRULY work with MS$? All I can find is MS's list of financial institutions which includes my CU. The same list did have this for my CU:
--------------------------
Direct Services* are the fastest, easiest way to connect with your financial institution and have your statements automatically downloaded into Money.

* This service is provided by a third party provider, not your financial instituition. It is only available if you have Microsoft Money 2005 or later. You will need to use Microsoft .NET Passport in order to access your account information.
---------------------------
Is this Direct Services a possibility to automating postings between my CU and MS$? I cannot find any info on this anywhere.

SHORT VERSION:
* Is there a list somewhere of financial institutions that TRULY work with MS$?
* Is Direct Services a possibility to automating postings between my CU and MS$? What is Direct Services?
