I just installed a 1.2 serv. pack 3 version of RMS on a computer that used to
have 1.07 Quicksell Commerce on it. It also has a parallel port dongle on it.
Now it says its looking for the software key (dongle)...
Somehow the driver in rms 1.2 wont let the computer see the dongle. I have
also talked to Safenet support, formerly known as Rainbow I guess,.. they had
me download their latest dongle driver vers. 7.1.1.. But the computer aborts
the installation saying there is a newer version already installed, uninstall
that before installing new driver. Problem is that there seems to be no way
of uninstalling the old driver, the support tech from Safenet couldnt find it
either, we deleted all traces of Sentinal in the registry.... no luck, still
comes up wth ,must unintall old driver first,...Anyone have a solution??
