see why that would not work. I am using money2006. What about doing my
online banking using money, would I be able to enter my online
transactions while offline and then when I am back online send those
transactions to my bank? Are there any other tools within money that
will not be accessible if I do not have access to the internet?

The Help will be limited offline. You know that you will not be able
to download transactions or prices while away from the office.
Otherwise the things that rely on online access are probably not
critical to normal use.
You can test that out by disabling your network connection. When you
hover over the things that rely on online access, the pointer will
transform into one with a globe.
I suggest backing up to at least one USB flash drive regularly, and
do not store it with the laptop. Perhaps make a copy of your latest
backup onto CDR at least monthly. Be careful that the laptop does
not walk away. |
