Hi all
I'm a beginner in investing so please forgive this simple question. I'm looking at Vanguard's Prime Money Market Fund (VMMXX). One the Distribution page it states the following: Distribution Type: Dividend Most Recent Distribution: $0.00039 Record Date: 05/29/2009 Reinvest Date: 05/29/2009 Payable Date: 06/01/2009 Reinvest Price: $1.00 Distribution Yield: 0.45% SEC Yield: 0.37% (https://personal.vanguard.com/us/fun...T#hist=tab%3A4) My question is: If I had $1000 in this fund eligible for this distribution what would I get. Is it as simple as $1000x0.45%=$4.50. Or is it $1000x$0.00039=$0.39. Or is the 0.45% for the entire year? In which case it would be $1000x0.45%/12=$0.38 Thanks for the help |
