Default The Life Insurance Policies that need to be invested.

When you invest in Life Insurance Policies, you are offered an option to choose from two categories, Term Life Insurance or Permanent Life Insurance. Term Life Insurance is something that you would invest in when you don’t want long term capital gain, where as in Permanent Life Insurance there is no time limit and you carry on paying the premium till your demise. Life Insurance Policies on the whole are governed by the tenure of the policy, the cover they provide, the premium amount that is to be paid and the advantages that they offer. However they vary from company to company.

Regard,

It’s a very good idea to invest in life insurance policy because it gives the money back that is free from taxes as long as we remain in the policy. But sometimes we don’t realize the risk we are taking.
Suppose, you are getting your money tax free, it will give you advantage. But is the return tax free? Yes if, instead of withdrawing your money, you borrow it from the policy. And that’s the game on which these policies are based.
So you must be careful while taking these policies, and read all the terms and conditions carefully.

Life insurance does one thing especially well, namely it pays a death benefit to the beneficiary of the policy upon the death of the insured. There are additional problems it can address (especially in estate planning).

But my general opinion is to let life insurance insure lives, and let investment vehicles do the investing.

My $.02.

Jeff

Are you referring to whole life insurance where you mix insurance with an investment component? When you die, your beneficiaries get both the death benefit and the cash benefit. Since the benefit is tax-deferred, it is a popular choice with many. However, the down side is high premiums, and sometimes as much as the entire first 3 years’ premiums go towards maintenance and administration costs. Many experts instead recommend that you separate the investment component from your insurance. They recommend you buy term life insurance and invest the difference (in premiums) in tax-deferred investment avenues such as IRA’s. Premiums are low and very affordable with term life, with comparatively high death benefits. So keep the latter option in mind for the best of both investment and insurance. Investing in term life insurance will not give you capital gains, but will ensure a smooth, hassle-free future for your family.

Investing in life insurance can be an important asset in your investment portfolio….death benefits are what life insurance is all about for any worker, self-employed or not… If you have a family that depends on you for money, you need life insurance. That's not so complicated,…If you already know you need life insurance and want to add a few investment wrinkles …

The best way to determine which company to buy insurance from is to check the companies rating. AM Best rates the companies just like they rate credit risk. Insurance should be purchased from a company with at the very least a B++ rating, and preferably an A rating.

I would also suggest looking at capitalization, but AIG was the largest insurer and look what happened to them.
