Can not open mny file |

I have read many posts on the inability to open a .mny file after copying
the file to another drive, CD, etc.., but have not seen any solutions when
the file can not be opened when "read-only" attributes are off.
I copied all mny files to a CD-RW. I then copied them to a new hard drive
in a new PC. I reinstalled Money 2005, which is what was on the old PC.
The "Read-Only" attribute is off. But, Money says the file can not be
opened. What now? I am at a loss.

Check that the version of your Money 2005 is 14.0.*.1105 |

Cal,
I could not see my version without having a mny file, so I created a new
one, temporarily. That done, Money wanted to download an update. I did not
check the version before doing this, but the version that Money was brought
up to was apparently later than the version you mentioned. In any event, I
was able to open my file!
