I downloaded the Money 2005 trial and it converted my files and everything
seemed to work fine. So I went out and bought 2005 Premium. Now, I've
installed 2005 Premium and it insists on trying to convert the converted
files and then fails miserably. any hints?

Create a new empty file. Let the update occur, and make sure the
version is 14.0.*.1105.

Then try opening your real file.

Thanks Cal, what I actually did is point it at a backup I did before I got
the trial. It happily converted that and then downloaded a bunch of updates
for itself. Then I brought it up again with the real file and it seems to be
OK. The version is *.1105.
