I buy my gas at Arco. When I enter Arco as the payee (or of it is placed
there by Money, because it is in the payee list) Money 2005 crashes. If I
use Arco Gas everything is fine. I tried deleting the Payee Arco and
recreating it, but it still crashes.

Any thoughts on this one?

If you go to Payee Details for Arco and change the name, then what happens?

I have not tried that, but I did delete Arco from the payee list and
reentered it

Here's the deal: deleting it from the explicit Payee list means almost
nothing if there are still ANY of them in the registers. I'm guessing from
this remote distance that there is some problem associated with a
TRANSACTION already entered for this payee and when you enter another one,
autocomplete references the problematic one in the process of looking for
the most recent one to copy from and barfs. I'm not sure renaming it will
help at all, but it might reveal something interesting. I'm thinking you
will end up doing something that looks at these transactions one-by-one to
find a problem transaction.

Patrick,

Could be an account corruption. Is it always the same account you are
entering these Arco transactions into? I had a similar problem with an
investment account. Had to export the transactions, close the account,
create new account, and import transactions to new account to solve the
problem.

You may first want to see if Arco works OK in a different account.

I think you have solved the problem. I went into an account I maintain for
one of my kids and did not have the same problem.
