Limit data to a single computer
If you do not want to synchronize your Money data with the MSN Money
service, you can turn off that feature; however, you will only be able to
access your Money data from the computer where you save your Money file.
1. Go to the Microsoft Money 2005 Settings page.
2. Click Access your Money data on the Web.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

I am logging in using my passport as I want to be able to download some
credit card accounts thru Yodlee. However, I don't want my checking
account and all it's details to be uploaded to MSN.... is there a way to
prevent an account from being uploaded while still being able to download
via Yodlee?
Thanks,

Jay, please let us know if this helps you get to the point where you can
Yodlee without MSNmoney store of your account data.

don't think the essential stuff is directly obtained from MSN, but the
format,
etc. is very close. I wonder if MS will even have a boxed, standalone Money
in a
few years. They're already making it more and more difficult to use the
product w/o MSN... next step is to drop it altogether and move it all to
their
servers adn charge a yearly subscription. At least that's my fear.
All I know is that I am using Money 2005 the same way I've used the product
for the last 9 years. No visable problem. I post my transactions manually, get
my investment updates continually (new) and have nothing to do with MSN except
to occasionally look at their web site. I use AOL. For me, at least, the
problems you and Dick describe are not there yet. I'm sure glad I don't
download my checking and credit card data into Money. Steve

For this, I agree with what you wrote as you indicated you're not downloading
information from Yodlee. If you were to set this up, my experience is that it
will force the sync to MSN and all your account data will be uploaded.

Thomas,
Thanks for the suggestion but I have followed those directions. One of the very
first screens says that by removing the data from MSN will prohibit the
downloading of my accounts that are only supported via Yodlee.
The issue still is being able to download accounts via Yodlee without having
your accounts uploaded to MSN. I am starting to be convinced that there isn't a way.

Dick,
Nope, disabling the upload of my accounts shuts down the download capability
from Yodlee.

That does it then. Thanks for the data point.
