Accepting Downloaded Transactions |
|
|
I am using MM05 (w/Nov update) on XP Pro and I have (finally!) been able to
get several of my accounts downloading transactions in a somewhat stable
manner (quite an accomplishment!). One annoying problem that I have is with
transactions are downloaded for my Credit Union Checking/Savings accts (done
via Yodlee). They download correctly and usually match up with my manual
entries so I then ACCEPT the matches in my register.
The problem is that the next time I update those same transactions that I
have accepted ask me to match them all over again. It is like it doesn't
remember that I already matched them! After a couple of days it finally
stops asking for me to match those and the whole process starts again with a
new set of transactions. Is anyone else having this problem? I tried
searching around to see if this has already been discussed but I couldn't
find it.
....just wanted to get as much info as possible before opening another MS
Ticket.
Thanks for your help!

Mark,
I'm having the same issue with one of my banks. I also have a credit union
account and its updates work flawlessly. The other thing I have noticed is
sometimes the downloaded stuff isn't "current". When I go out to my bank's
page and download a statement manually, I usually get a few new tranasactions.
Is this because the account in question is coming from Yoddle instead of
from the bank directly?
I have put in bogus account and password information in for this account,
because I can't figure out anyway to keep it from automatically updating the
same data over and over again. It's really annoying.
Maybe someone can figure this out.
Thanks,
Michael

Yes, I have seen the same problem with non-current transactions also & I
think it is because of Yodlee in the middle. It behaves the same way when
you access your accounts through Yodlee's free web interface
(https://www.yodlee.com/newarch/index.do).
I'm going to open a support ticket tonight & I'll post any useful
information.

Mark,
I did open a support incident with MS. The short issues is it's a known
issue they are "working on". Still, I wouold encourage you to open an issue
with them. Don't suffer through the phone support, just do the web/e-mail
method. Here is what they have to say:
When you download transactions from Yodlee services in Microsoft Money 2005,
you are prompted to match the downloaded transactions with transactions in
your Money 2005 data file. This issue occurs even though you matched the same
transactions after previous downloads.
If I have misunderstood the issue, don't hesitate to let me know.
I am sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Please be assured
that I will work closely with you about on this issue for from now on.
Recently, we have received similar feedback from our customers. This issue
occurs if you match a single deposit to multiple transactions in your Money
2005 data file.
Our product group has already discussed with Yodlee about this issue, and
they are currently working on it. I will inform you as soon as possible when
this issue is resolved. Your understanding and cooperation on this is highly
appreciated.
If anything is unclear or there is anything that I can do for you, please
feel free to let me know. I will follow up with you as soon as possible. I
look forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
MS Support

I also opened a ticket on this last week via the web. I received the exact
(word for word) cut/paste response you did. Also, since this was a known
issue they closed the ticket because they can't have too many open (sounds
fishy). I think they should leave them open until it is resolved so their
management reports properly show what the top open issues are.
