International thoughts???? |
|
|
Since moving some $ out of energy, I'm looking for a home for these bucks.
I'm thinking of moving more in the foreign sector by opening a position in
EWY and also perhaps EEM. I want to avoid those funds whose main
investments are in energy since I'm still overweighed in this sector.
Thoughts????

A good friend, an ex-cfo, found an Austrian ETF or CEF which has good
promise as a safe haven for dollars. I forget the ticker so you will
have to do a little research if you want to check it out. If you are
thinking long term USA I would favor MDY which beat the other 3.
Makes sense when you think about it.
If you can not find the Austrian fund let me know and I can ask for it
when I see my friend on Thursday.

Both choices are pretty pricey, big pharma is also international and a
lot cheaper: PFE, GSK, Novartis etc. as examples.

If the Austrian guy is not EWA, let me know. It looks pretty good, has a
3%+ yield, good upturn for the year, but is down for the quarter ( indicates
a good time to buy or a downturn???).

Lot cheaper?? EWY has a P/E of 7.12 and a P/B of 1.27. I am toying with
putting a bit into a pharma sector fund with Fidelity, but all the law
suites scare me.
