Online porfolio security price errs |
|
|
Rececntly I have found that the uploaded online porfolio at
www.quicken.com/investments/portfolio/ of my stocks and funds is frequently
showing erroneous numbers. Today the Dow Index is 100+ points incorrect at
midday in the market. I have found some stocks I was watching closely on a
particular day to not pickup price swings. Sometimes it is obvious, like
when the 52 week range high and low are the same number and no where close
to the price of the stock. But other times it is not obvious and I am
loosing confidence in the site. When it is off, the share or index price
will move around through the day but usually never be in the correct range
for the entire day. Is there another website that can use the Quicken
upload feature to upload and track securities in Quicken?
I have also had some major upsets after downloading prices to my Quicken
file. I have used Quicken since 1998. One day in 2004 I somehow become an
instant multi-trillionaire and could not correct the error. I had to
restore a backup file and rebuild from there. I first got hit with this in
latter 2004 and had to go back through several months rebuild to get file to
work properly. I began to watch closely and found the err seems to start
after running one-step-update. I probably experienced this problem 10 times
over the last year. The problem seems to occur less in recent months but I
keep plenty of backup files. I am not sure if this is a seperate problem or
tied to Quicken's problem with having erroneous information in the Online
Porfolio. Anyone else experienced this?
I notified Quicken support of the Porfolio problem but never heard anything
back. Do not know if they care or agree about the problem or if anyone one
was home at Quicken. I tried another means to communicate the problem with
Quicken this morning but after going through their "support" process, I was
left with no confidence I will hear from them. Can anyone help me with
another portfolio tracking site or a more effective way to get help from
intuit/Quicken?
