Most consumers already have 2 to 10 times
the computing power that they need now
or in the forseeable future.

Business users who just need to surf the web
and run Office applications are even better off,
and there aren't enough power users out there
to keep the company on the up, up and away track.

They did well while Intel kept ratcheting CPU speeds up
little by little, and users kept upgrading. Remember
when Users rushed to dump their "antiquated"
100 Mhz boxes for the "blazing" new 133 Mhz screamers?

Notice how Intel has topped out as far as new CPU
announcements are concerned.

Laptops are providing a brief last gasp income stream,
but that will slow down also in the near future.

Dell's growth is behind them
as the company is currently constituted.

Microsoft is similarly stagnant, and has been for years.

Until and unless management takes their head out of the sand
and puts their thinking caps on, the stocks have nowhere to go.

Except down..........

Need I mention the drag anchor known as Bill Gates.

His relentless liquidation is a cancer on the stock price......

Only $25 billion to go........

Yep! We have enough computing power to run the State, and maybe throw
in Louisiana but the problem is all these test programs of MS and then
the weekly updates on software and the whole development mess with
programs and trying to keep surrent is absolutely dring consumers
nuts.

I am going to get myself a system built to my specs and then add
either Windows 98 of Office 2000. XP is a pain in the uhhuh!

About ready to take off and travel and trash all the computers.

Their laptops eat shit. I wouldn't touch their stock with a 10-foot
pole.

I've heard some people talk highly of their Dell laptops and recommend them
to others. I am thinking I might get a Dell laptop myself (dude) and use
my old desktop mainly for file backups.
