I've got alerts set up for a budget in Quicken 2001 Deluxe. I chose the
option "Save Alerts when Budgets Are Saved". Then I set the amounts that
will determine when I get an alert.

For example, in Range 2, I set an alert to go off when I'm within $25 of any
budgeted item between $50 and $100. When I tested a category with a $100
monthly limit, the alert told me I was "going over" when I entered $80. How
can I get the alert to say "you're about to go over your budgeted amount" or
"you're within $20 of going over your budget for this item" or something to
that effect? For Quicken to tell me that I'm already over when I'm not is
not very useful.
