That's not been the problem here. At 6 PM eastern, I see today's price, but it
has yesterday's date, so the correct yesterday price is overwritten.
When you say the price isn't updated for another hour, are you sure? Have you
checked what you see in Money against the price on the mutual fund's site, or
in MSN money (not MSN portfolio manager)?

Hmm, maybe I shouldn't be trying to download so soon after 6 pm eastern.
I
downloaded again and this time the price change and today's total change
recorded correctly for COSWF, although the Last Price was still
yesterday's.
Tomorrow I'll wait until 7 pm.
I've just assumed that pink sheet stock prices were availabe at the same
time as mutal funds. Maybe not. Thanks again.

Very interesting. So, the problem is unique to M2004. It's a minor
issue,
but have you any suggestions on how to solve the problem? Thanks.
I also just checked in Money 2004, and I also get a nice number for
COSWF Change and Today columns.
Try grouping by account and see if things change. You might make a
copy of your file to experiment. Try to make sure the transactions
are only Buy, Sell, and Dividend perhaps.

Ugh! The fix is unfixed. The daily price changes are recorded
correctly
in Investment Summary and Best and Worst Performers, but not where
it
matters most, the Last Price in PV and Today's Total Change, and
of
course, the Market Value of one's holdings.
And, btw, since I've used M2004 has never properly recorded the

an
unknown stock.

Since MF data has to be datermined and updated from different sources there
may be some convention in the MF industry that the price data will be
confirmed everyday only at 7 PM EST. That may explain the problems being
reported. Has anybody who updated the MF prices after 7 PM EST encountered
this problem?

Certainly! On Fri, October 21, when I first reported this "issue" to MS, my
prices on Vanguard and American funds were dated 10/20. The date on the
Vanguard funds didn't correct until Saturday AM, 10/22. The American Funds
didn't correct until Monday, 10/24.

As a matter of fact, at 6:10 PM EST today, 11/7, the problem reappeared. By
6:30 PM the dates on the American Funds was corrected. Now, at about 6:48, for
the Vanguard Funds, the bond fund prices have the correct date; the stock fund
prices do not. Note, again, that the prices are in fact all from 11/7, even
though MSN Money shows them as being from 11/4.
