The Server Localhost is not resonding |
|
|
I am getting the following error when trying to add users to Microsoft CRM
through the User Manager.
The server localhost is not responding. This might happen if it is currently
unavailable, it is not a Microsoft CRM server, or you do not have sufficient
priveleges to run User Manager. For more information, contact your system
administrator.
I have tried looking for a solution, but have not been able to so far. I am
logged into the web server as administrator of the domain. The server is MS
Server 2003 Web edition running SP1. I can go to CRM on the server, but when
I try to add a user from there, I get an ASP.NET error
A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client
(crmForSubmitXml = "<systemuser><firstna...").
Please let me know if you need any additional information. I would
appreciate any help with this. It's been driving me nuts.
Thanks.

Surly there has to be some gurus out there that have come across this. I
have not been able to find a solution for this. It has to be some kind of
permissions issue. Any thoughts?

What version of CRM are you using? This sounds like an issue that used to
occur with v1.0 running under the 1.1 .Net framework.
