Anyone else like DSTI and XSNX
DSTI makes thin solar panels that are flexible and cheap.
XSNX makes a film that goes on windows that acts as a solar panel.

Both stocks have more than tripled in the past year and seem to have a
lot of upside potential.

DSTI's sole income is redeemed warrants and sale of company shares. It is
millions of dollars in debt, and has constantly lost money since its
inception. The company was incorporated in 1997, but has yet to (kaff,
faff) create a manufacturing process for such solar panels.

The company intends to license the (in-development!) product, but has yet
to find someone to buy the license (again, this company was incorporated
in 1997 with nothing to show but expenses). Like the previous company,
income is generated by the sale of company shares or (in the next five
years or so) redemption of warrants. I personally like what they intend
to do, but geeze, where's the beef?

I suspect that the stock price is driven more by speculation than the
company's fundamentals.

Here's news out today that indicates production is right around the
corner for DSTI.

DayStar Technologies Retains Executive Recruiting Agency to Fill Senior
Management Positions
Wednesday November 9

DayStar Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: DSTI - News), a developer and
manufacturer of high value Photovoltaic Foil(TM) products, announced
today that it has retained the services of Capstone, Inc., a
professional executive recruiting agency, to conduct a nationwide
search to fill two new senior level positions at DayStar -- Chief
Operating Officer and Vice President of Manufacturing.

These two positions are now warranted as DayStar transitions from
development into production. The Company is continuing to recruit and
fill other engineering and manufacturing positions, as well.

Capstone, located in the Tech Valley of New York State, specializes in
building senior executive and technical teams for high growth technical
companies. In addition to assisting Plug Power, Inc., another
energy-related New York Tech Valley company, a sampling of past clients
also include Boston Scientific, Intermagnetics General Corp., Lydall
Inc, and IsoPur Fluid Technologies, among others.

"DayStar has reached an operations level that requires us to expand our
executive management team," said Dr. John Tuttle, CEO and President of
DayStar Technologies. "We are excited to work with Capstone to ensure
that we appoint forward thinking professionals to help the Company
through this next phase of our continued growth."

About DayStar Technologies, Inc.

DayStar Technologies, Inc. is an emerging leader in low cost, high
efficiency Photovoltaic Foil(TM) that converts sunlight into energy.
The Company manufactures CIGS solar cells, which are deposited on
flexible metal foils using production processes adapted from commodity
computer component manufacturing. As an alternative to wafer-silicon
solar cells, DayStar believes the unique combination of its CIGS solar
cell design coupled with proprietary manufacturing processes on
flexible metal substrates could substantially lower costs and remove
deployment barriers currently limiting large adoption of solar energy.

More sophisticated policy choices would enable solar (on-peak) to
completely replace gasoline, diesel, natural gas, nuclear, hydro and
geo-thermal.

An analysis of off-peak unused electric capacity shows that if all
miles driven were in Electric cars, there would be more than enough
electric available (off-peak) to supply those miles.

The two stocks to buy for pv and electric cars are DSTI and ZP

DSTI is the best small cap stock for solar panels.

ZP is the best small cap stock for electric cars.

is they went bankrupt about a year ago, so you might want to look
for their symbol with a "Q" at the end...

XSNX just has had a huge volume surge the last couple of days. Over 10 million shares yesterday and several million again today. What's behind this action for XSNX? I don't see any recent news. I'm thinking .50 is good entry point, and if we hear news about them being ready to starting making their product and finding buyers for it, we could easily read 1.5 by the years end.

Here's a press release just out that indicates XSNX has a bright future.

Tuesday January 3, 9:00 am ET
Progress in Power Glass Development May Allow the Company to Launch Marketing Efforts in Spring 2006

XsunX (XSNX.OB), developer of Power Glass -- an innovative thin film solar technology that allows glass windows to produce electricity from the power of the sun, announced today that it ended 2005 on a high note with continued progress in the development of its semi-transparent Power Glass thin films, that may allow the Company to begin marketing efforts of its technologies as early as Spring 2006.

Our business goal has always been to develop products with application opportunities that promote the wide scale use of photovoltaic technologies,'' stated Tom Djokovich, CEO of XsunX, Inc. ``In 2004 we took our idea to create a commercially viable solar cell for use on windows and created working prototypes, expanded our R&D capabilities, and acquired the rights to a proprietary manufacturing process. In 2005 we continued to direct our business initiative toward what we anticipate may be the launch of product marketing efforts as soon as this coming spring 2006. We will also start the new year with further progress toward our goal of developing innovative new solar cell designs, as we begin the development of an entirely new type of thin film solar technology,'' added Mr. Djokovich.

Power Glass, the first of the Company's technology development initiatives, is an innovative solar technology that is intended to allow windows to produce electricity from the power of the sun without significantly altering the appearance or use of the window or transparent surface.

The design of the solar cell provides for the manufacture of very thin solar cells on transparent flexible plastics. As part of the manufacturing process numerous individual cells are produced on rolled plastics substrates and interconnected using minimally apparent segmentations. The resulting integrated solar cell design is monolithic or uniform in appearance and simulates tinted solar control films used in window shading applications. The Company believes the advantages to the use of Power Glass films over current solar glass designs lye in improved esthetic appearance, reduced manufacturing or assembly requirements, and lower finished product costs.

The product of the Company's Power Glass development efforts is intended to provide marketable technologies in the form of an integrated solution providing commercially scalable manufactured processes, equipment designed for the specific manufacture of the Company's thin film solar technologies, and proprietary thin film solar cell designs that address new application opportunities.

Another year end milestone is the launch of the Company's Phase 4 program for the development of a new patent-pending 4 Terminal Nano-Crystalline solar cell.

This unique 4 Terminal solar cell design uses a combination of thin film transparent cell technology, derived from the Company's Power Glass initiative, with that of a nano-crystalline solar cell. XsunX believes that the combination of these two technologies into a single device holds a promising opportunity to deliver low cost, high efficiency, flexible, and light weight solar cells providing performance characteristics commonly found only in various forms of crystalline wafer technologies.

About XsunX

Based in Aliso Viejo, California, XsunX is the developer of Power Glass -- an innovative thin film Building Integrated Photovoltaic solar technology that allows glass windows to produce electricity from the power of the sun. This proprietary process is intended to allow manufacturers to apply a thin film transparent and photovoltaic glazing to glass and other transparent substrates. When XsunX films are exposed to light, the light energy is converted into electrical energy for use as a power source. XsunX believes that its solar electric glazing technology has a number of major market opportunities in the worldwide architectural glass, optical film and plastics markets. Please visit the Company's website for more information: http://www.XsunX.com

The stock is up to .60 now and I think it's going to over $1 soon.

DSTI updates:

1. they produce silicon free solar panels,
they use a new technology called CIGS
(copper,indium,gallium,selenide)
that is much cheaper than silicon, the
company was started in 1997.

2. they don't have the issue of silicon
shortage.

3. they shipped products to Blitzstrom , a german
company based in Germany,
the world's leader country for solar
panels, and to the chinese company MEG too.

4. they hired many new workers and a new
vice president of manifacturing that leaved
the solar silicon competitor ESLR for DSTI.

5. Honda will start to produce soon CIGS solar
panels too.

6. They have a low float of 2.6 millions shares,
and 6.2 millions outstanding shares,that
predicts high volatility.

7. The CEO Tuttle sells every quarter a small
amount of shares in order to pay administrative
taxes and salaries, because the
company started to produce only
since a few months.

8. Solar energy is the only way to produce electricity
over the long term because fossil fuels are running
out, the dependance on oil is already causing
wars and terrorism.

XSNX reached a new high of 1.62 and it looks like it could easily break through that price today.

xsnx looks interesting more so than that DSTI. Its just they almost have a 200 mil cap with no sales. Meaning they are probably going to have to canabilize there own stock just to stay afloat, that being the risk. But energy is on the for front of everyones minds and they are saying all the right things. Nanosolar, I like it. But here is the catch solar is just to expensive and will never be a cost effective alternative.

The 4 biggest oil fields in the world are in decline:

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/1/26/9229/79300

Only around 50 super-giant oilfields have ever been found, and the most recent, in 2000, was the first in 25 years: the problematically acidic 9-12 billion barrel Kashagan field in Kazakhstan.

(...)

In 2000 there were 16 discoveries of 500 million barrels of oil equivalent or bigger. In 2001 there were nine. In 2002 there were just two. In 2003 there were none.

It's only a matter of time before solar power is the cheapest source of power anywhere.
