Changing drive format |
|
|
Hello: I hope there is someone out there that can assist us. Thank-You.
I had to restore our computer to factory settings. Saved all the data
on C/D's that were important. After restoring the computer, we restored
the quicken program, problem was it went to "F" drive which is our
secondary hard drive used for back-up of our data. I have been
attempting to get it to "C" drive which is our primary hard drive, and
have not been successful.
Can someone PLEASE explain how I can ackomplish the task.
Again transferring from "F" drive to "C" drive.
Thank-You: dmorri6412@aol.com

Have you considered uninstalling it from "F", and simply reinstalling it
again, making sure that you install it to the "C" drive? I can't remember
exactly the screen shots, but I've got to believe there's a panel early on
that indicates where the target of the installation is to go, and "C" was
probably the default. At this point, you might wish to explictly ensure
that is the case.
I guess I'm missing why it isn't this simple?

Andrew is right.
There are software programs that will do it but that's overkill. Go to the
control panel and uninstall Quicken the right way. Then install again and
carefully watch for the installation folder to come up. If given the
choice, use custom install rather than typical. Then it's sure to come up.
