Recently I was given information on the subject. The returns going just
to 2000 seem pretty good. However, I only have a two page info sheet
and really don't know much about this type of investment. I have also
received a little pitch on Dow Jones AIG for commodities again this is
new terrority for me. I am hoping someone will have some words of
wisdom. or lead me to a source of information.
Thanks in advance.

Ps: The return on the Target Dividend Portfolio is about 100% (eye math)
over the pass 5 years.

Sure, but ask this person why you weren't shown returns AFTER
September 2000. Monkeys throwing darts did GREAT prior to then.

Perhaps newer data is on page three.

Yes, this index (group) has done well recently.
But *how* would you be buying into this area?

Without knowing SPECIFIC said investment vehicle,
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=%22Target+Dividend+Portfolio+%22
100% return sounds fishy. Possible, but not likely for the average Joe.

I provide this information from the information sheet that the sales

person provided. I only gave five years of returns so I hope I have not
mislead anyone. Also I am not sure that the portfolio is a mutual fund.
1992-28.23
1993-17.96
1994-(-8.33)
1995-46.26
1996-15.97
1997-40.37
1998-2.68
1999-(-6.72)
2000-25.68
2001-39.84
2002-(-1.14)
2003-31.98
2004-18.66
9/30/05-6.19

On the Dow Jones AIG for commodities I was hopefully that someone has a
mutual fund or some other vehicle. I have not looked at Fidelity or
XXX, to see if they have a commodity mutual fund.

Pimco seems to have the best structured, most reputable fund. Most of
the fund is in TIPS, then they use commodity futures to get the
commodity exposure.
