bodies in NO |
|
|
My wife works with a woman whose brother is a life-flight
helicopter pilot. He was working in New Orleans and just got back
yesterday. He claims there are 17,000 bodies in body bags at the
airport--seen them with his own eyes, he says. Says that the
media isn't being allowed to see them.
I just report what I hear.

Estimates from various news outlets have crept up and hit 20,000. After I
heard that number, they dropped back to well below 10,000. At least one
news outlet is in agreement with the figure you posted.

The body bag count is for the estimated worst-case scenario..

I'm sure this is going to be the next big controversy: counting the dead. A
city the size of New Orleans produces quite a few bodies on a good day.
Reuters lead story, today, is that the body count might not be as high as
people originally expected. They did say that there were 25,000 body bags
available.

Divide the whole pile into 100 parts. Then count the bags in one of the
parts. If you count, say, 170 bags, multiply by 100 and you get 17,000. |

One reason for this, is that alligators have apparently invaded the
swamp that used to be New Orleans, and are likely eating the smaller
bodies (children).

Yes, I saw at least one news report on this.
