A newbie here about to dive into this and hoping not to hurt my head too much Wink

I've come up with a list of 8-9 funds some mix of which looks like it might fit my needs. About half of them are available via Firstrade which looks like a good approach but several aren't available there. Other than the obvious one of keeping the portfolio together is there an advantage/disadvantage to using one of the Firstrade-type of "supermarkets" vs. opening accounts with 3-5 individual fund families?

Any experience, positive or negative with Firstrade in particular?

Thanks in advance,
Dick
