MSCI EAFE index |
|
|
Have a 401 with a selection that mimics the Morgan Stanley Capital
International EAFE.
This selection has no fund symbol so I can not easily track the progress.
Is there a public fund (e.g., Fidelity) that mimics the MSCI EAFE Index I
can watch to get an approximate idea of how this fund is doing?

Yes there is. An ETF with symbol EFA, the is the iShare MSCI EAFE Index
Fund.
If your selection has no symbol it could be an annuity, just so you are
aware. |

Thanks Ed. Do you know of any mutual fund that tracks MSCI? |

MSCI stands for Morgan Stanley Capital International. There are many MSCI
index funds. Most of the Vanguard funds use MSCI indexes.
There are some open end funds that track the EAFE, they are BTAEX and SSMSX.
There may be more but all you need is one. I think EFA is your best bet
though. You can also track the index itself

You can track the EAFE itself:
http://www.msci.com/equity/index2.html
You need to register with them though (free).

Old Guy,
Also look at EEM. It has "done me well."
